Community Groups

Our community centre not only runs a huge variety of courses.

We also host a number of support groups and community groups. We have playgroups and support a variety of needs in our community.

Wednesday Playgroup

9:30 to 11:30am

An ideal way for children 18 months and older to socialise with
others. This is a great way for parents or carers to get know other
families in the area.
Cost is a low $20 per school term.
Don't miss out on the fun.

Neighbourhood Group

Day: Every Wednesday

Time: 1:00 - 3:00pm

Fee: $2.00

This group offers friendship, company, guest speakers, crafts, game days and a monthly bus trip. Everyone is welcome.

Gamblers Anonymous (G.A.)

Every Monday Evening 7:00— 9:00pm

A group for those who feel they need support and encouragement. For information—Debra on 0425 870 468.

Hands Of Friendship

Day: Tues (1st & 3rd of month)

Time: 10:00am - 12 Noon

Fee: $1:00

A happy, friendly place to work on your own craft projects and meet others with similar interests. Learn something new or perhaps pass on your ideas and skills.

Melton Combined Youth And Special Needs (Khaki Rebels)

Caters for disabled youth with a minor or major disability and siblings. Includes games, trips and camps.

Remedial Tutoring

Available for Preps to Year 9. Teachers have more than 10 years experience in this field.

Available Mondays 4:00 - 5:30pm and Wednesday 4:00 and 7:00pm.

Melton Melody Makers Singing Group

If you enjoy singing and would like to meet with others to form a group then please come along every Friday from 10:45-11:45am and join in the fun.  A small fee of $5.00 per week to cover costs applies.  Held in our new Multi Purpose Room at 26 Exford Road Melton South.  

Melton Melody Makers had their first concert with rave reviews. Picture attached, also a fabulous article and picture in the Leader Newspaper 22 July 2008. The have also performed at this years (2009) Djerriwarrh Festival.

 

AL-ANON - ALATEEN

Help for families and friends of problem drinkers.
If someone you love or are dependent on has a drinking problem, you can see what it's doing to them; if you are also concerned about what it's doing to you and/or your family.
Meetings will be held on Friday evenings from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. Contact 9642-3330 for further infromation.

Meetings are for family and freinds of problem drinkers to share their experiences, strengths and hope.
All meetings are run on a strictly confidential basis. Anonymity is observed outside the meeting room.
